AFD Lander Design Changes

Updates are not a regular thing in the search arbitrage industry but here is an update from Google that needs the attention of all the arbitragers!

Let me brief you shortly about the update,

Google is updating the design of parked domain ad pages to make ads clearer and easier to understand. The new changes include clearer labels to show what an ad is, better-looking buttons that fit the page nicely, and easier-to-read text.

Starting December 17, 2024, half of the traffic will use the new design, and by January 2025, all pages will switch over.

At first, earnings might drop (Native ads: 7%-12%, TikTok ads: 10%-20%, Facebook ads: 8%-16%), but don’t worry this update is to improve in templates and better click rates for Google advertisers. So search arbitragers are expected to boost earnings later.

Why is RPC Dropping in Search Arbitrage?

Its because of the changes in the design of the ad pages. All advertisers may see a significant drop in the RPC or Revenue Per Click.

Arbitragers can expect better results after some days, because of the shift in ad page designs. So this can be one of the main reasons behind the RPC drop.

However, Google is trying to be more clear in the ad pages so that users can convert much better. From our side, we think this will be a better thing for the people who are working with Google’s AFD Feed.

What To Do Now?

We have to keep patience and be prepared for the new ad pages. From January the new ad landing pages will be properly covering all the traffic.

In the mean time lower the budget of your ad campaigns and also try to optimize them for a lower CPA. If that’s not possible then try to use the Bid Cap so that the spending doesn’t get wasted.

And when the whole traffic shifts to new ad landing pages, you can remove the bid cap and start scaling again.

Hope this helps to get some ideas regarding the new update on AFD Feeds. For more latest and up to date updates on Search Arbitrage make sure to stay connected with us.
